Wanted everyone to be aware that the $8,000 Tax Credit for 1st Time Homebuyers and
the $6,500 Tax Credit for Current Homeowners is extended for Veterans.
Here's some of the details.
The extension is until April 30, 2011 (under contract) and June 30, 2011 (last
closing date). They just added 1 year on to the Tax Credit that just expired for
everyone else.
It would be for Veterans OR Federal Gov't Employees who served overseas between
January 1, 2009 and May 1, 2010 for at least 90 days. Also, if the qualified person
hasn't completed the full 90 days but needs to return to the U.S. for medical
purposes they may still qualify for the one year extension.
